Gammorin is the title given to the leader of the Super Mutants in the Midwest. This particular Gammorin is the 4th with that name. He was created by the Super Mutant scientist Erkul under the supervision of the Brotherhood of Steel. Him and his mate were specifically created in order to cure the Super Mutant infertility problem, over the span of 20 years they managed to produce 1 super mutant child, which was a scientific breakthrough.
The Brotherhood abandoned the project however, which in effect brought on a second war between the Gammorin army and the Brotherhood of Steel. Gammorin's life mission is to get revenge on the Brotherhood for breaking their promise to the mutants and then find the answer to Super Mutant infertility.
