Duke Adams: No, it is too dangerous. I can't condone this. It is far too risky.
Kaylee: You heard Cal, if we don't get those defenses down we are going to be demolished before we even get in the gate. Somebody has to go inside and disable the AA guns and EMPs. Let me do it!
Duke: No! Gammorin is not to be underestimated. This plan will get you killed. Or worse. Moses will sneak in un-noticed.
Kaylee: This is my fight too! Gammorin killed my family, I'm not going to just sit on the sidelines while everyone but me fights this war.
Duke: I'll let you know when there is more work to be done, maybe another supply run to Diamond City.
Kaylee: I'm not a little girl who needs protected all the time! I can take care of myself!
*Kaylee storms off*
Duke: Hmmm...... Even after all these years humans still baffle me. Especially that one.
Player:
a. (Defenses) What is this about taking down defenses?
b. (Kaylee) Why won't you let Kaylee go?
c. (Sarcasm) So you aren't afraid of a 200 year old super mutant warlord, but a human teenager is too much for you to handle?
Duke:
a. The anti-aircraft guns and the EMP pulses at the Black Gate are going to shred our forces before we even reach the gate. Moses and Sledge are devising a plan to take them down. I'll let you know if we need your assistance.
B and C: She has presented an unorthadox strategy for removing Gammorin's defenses. Sneaking in disguised as a slave, and sneaking back out again. It's too dangerous. I could not face Cal or Myself if I let her get hurt.

Foot Smash: *whispering* Hey, you!
Player:
a. (What?) What is it?
b. (I'm busy) Can it wait?
c. (Sarcasm) If you are trying to be quiet you are doing a real great job.
Foot Smash:
b. Not really.
c. Foot Smash best at being quiet! Uhh... Oops...
all. Human girl needs your help!
*Go talk to Kaylee*
Kaylee: Really... out of all the jerks they could have chosen they just had to pick you... Damn mutties...
Foot Smash: My brother says he is the strongest human!
Player:
a. (What's up?) What's going on?
b. (Pick me?) Picked me? I'm confused.
c. (Sarcasm) I can't help it the super mutants have an eye for talent. If only they had the same eye for hygiene we would be set.
Kaylee:
a. I'm sure you have heard that if we don't take down the defenses at the Black Gate we are going to have a hell of a time getting in. Well, with the recent attack on Braintree, Duke isn't in a position to handle it, so I'm taking things into my own hands.
b. Foot Smash Said he wouldn't help without human back up. I'm not at all thrilled about it, I don't need someone protecting me! But Foot Smash is the one who acquired Gammorin's uniforms and knows how to get in, so I had no other choice.
Foot Smash:
c. What is a hygiene?
Player: *Option a*
a. (Duke's approval?) Is Duke ok with this?
b. (I'm down) What's the plan?
Kaylee: *Option a*
a. Of course not, that's why we have to keep this a secret.
b. We are going to get captured as slaves. The Slam and Foot Smash will be disguised as Gammorin's soldiers and take us into the gate. Come nightfall they will come unlock us, allowing us to proceed to taking down the defenses and making our escape.
Meet up with Foot Smash when you are ready to head in. Don't bring anything you don't want to lose.

Foot Smash: Human, you ready for dangerous mission?
Player:
a. (yes)
b. (no)
c. (Gammorin's uniform) How did you acquire those uniforms?
d. (Plan B) Do we have a backup plan?
Foot Smash:
a. Ok, me take you front gate. After that we will blend in with the other mutants until night. We will come unlock you guys and head to the control room together.
b. Well hurry up. Humans are so slow...
c. The former owners had a bit of an accident involving my foot and their skulls.
d. No.
Kaylee: Just because you are coming along doesn't mean you are in charge. This is still my mission.
Foot Smash: Benji modified my armor to hide a few items for you. Can't hold much though, so only bring what you must.
The Slam and Foot Smash, not fully dressed in the armor of Gammorin's army walked Vault-Girl and Kaylee to the menacing black gate towering over the landscape of the Glowing Sea.

Gate Keeper: Only two this time?
Foot Smash: But they are very good quality, brother!
Gate Keeper: We will see about that when they get to sorting. And I am most certainly not your brother... Move along.
They made their way down the hall to a line of people being herded in one at a time by their super mutant captors.
Foot Smash: This is where we are going to leave you for now. But don't worry, we will come unlock you once it is dark.
Kaylee: You better, because if I die in here I will come back and haunt you for the rest of your extended super mutant life.

Foot Smash walks off to join with some of Gammorin's soldiers.

Kaylee: What do you think they are going to do to us?
Player:
a. (Charisma) It's going to be ok, we can do this.
b. (Perception) It looks like they are sorting the slaves for different jobs.
c. (Stay with me) Try to stay close to me.
d. (Sarcasm) I thought this was the line to the lunch buffet.
Kaylee:
a. Ok, ok, I've got this.
b. Let's try not to end up in the line where we become Deathclaw food.
c. I can take care of myself.
d. Not funny.
Ingle: Oh my god, how did I ever end up here? I shouldn't have taken those Gammorin threats so lightly. What am I going to do?
Player:
a. (What are you)
b. (Gammorin) What do you know about Gammorin?
c. (Comfort) It's going to be ok, we are all going to get out of this.
Ingle:
a. My name is Ingle... I have a wife and three kids at home, I don't want to die... My family needs me.
b. I have heard all the threats about him kidnapping people and enslaving them, but I never took them seriously. Now I am very much regretting that decision...
c. How could we possibly get out of this, there are hundreds of armed super mutants in every direction you look?
Sorter: Next!
*Ingle gets pushed forward and they take a blood sample from his arm and look him over*
Sorter: Hmmm... decent muscle mass, no missing limbs... But a very high number of mutated genetic markers. Let's make this one a soldier.
Ingle: What? No! I don't want to be turned into a super mutant! Please, no, I can repair things, like that computer over there, let me fix it for you!
*Ingle gets pushed off down the hall as he yells and fights*
Sorter: Next!
*Kaylee gets pushed forward and and they take a blood sample from her arm and look her over*
Kaylee: Hey, watch it, you don't have to be so rough! *Kaylee punches one of the super mutants*
Creeper: Well aren't you a feisty one, let me have a look at you.
*Kaylee picks up a nearby screw driver and jams it into the super mutant's eye*
Creeper: Ughaaa! You little bitch, I'm going to kill you.
Sorter: No you are not, her blood is genetically clean and she is strong. She is a prime candidate for harvesting.
Creeper: But my eye! She took out my eye, I'm going to make her pay!
Sorter: She is property of Gammorin now, and one does not harm Gammorin's property without paying with their lives. Get out of my site, scum, and go get that eye cleaned up in medical. Next!
*Kaylee is pushed off while the player is brought forward to be sorted*
Kaylee: ehhhhh... what do I do? ahhh!
Sorter: Holy mother of Deathclaws, that's the purest blood I have ever seen come through these gates! You must be some sort of vault dweller or something. Send this one directly to Dr. Erkle for special harvesting.

Vault-Girl, Kaylee, and three other slaves get pushed down another long hallway and into another room. The white walls and bright lights were a stark contrast to the rest of the dark and gloomy interiors of the building. The super mutant guards removed the possessions and clothing from the slaves and forced them along the path of a very painful decontamination shower. *Loss of HP but cured of all radiation* Once at the end one of the mutants grabbed vault girl and pulled her to the side.
Soldier: This is the one we were supposed to take to Dr. Erkal.
Vault-Girl is taken up some steps to the other side of the room where a super mutant in a white coat is teaching class to 4 smaller, almost child looking super mutants sitting at desks.

Erkal: And that my children, is why we can't be friends with ghouls... Oh, it looks like we have a guest here today. You will have to excuse teacher for a moment while he sees what this is about. Get to work on your vocab words.
Students: Yes teacher.
*Erkal walks over to the player while from the other side of the room human screams are heard over the sound of a drill*
Student: The screaming is starting again, silly humans.
*The soldier hands Dr. Erkal a chart that he proceeds to study*
Erkal: Now this is interesting, it is as if you have some how traveled through time and landed right here in front of me to give me the perfect DNA sample! Is it Christmas, I couldn't have asked for a better gift!
Player:
a. (Screaming) What are you doing to the other prisoners?
b. (Children) Wait! are those super mutant children?
c. (Me) What do you want with me?
Erkal:
a. We are taking needed resources from the unevolved. The FEV process was flawed and left our race missing certain needed elements for reproduction. Until we can come up with a better cure, we use unevolved donors to replace what was taken from us.
b. Only a few so far, but now that we have perfected the harvesting process and the soldiers are bringing in slaves faster than ever. It is only a matter of time until the master race can spread once again.
c. Your dna shows no traces of radiation damage, it is like the perfect blueprint. We are going to experiment on you to further advance our ability to cure the sterility that curses our race.
*from across the room*
Kaylee: No! ahhhh, let go of me! *screams*
Player:
a. (Stop this!) Stop hurting these people!
b. (You're a monster) You are nothing but a monster.
c. (Charisma) Let her go, I have the information you need. I'm a chemist from before the nuclear war, don't hurt her and I can cure your sterility.
d. (Intelligence) Wait! was that a spike in your geiger counter over there?
e. (Not a conversation option) *A shiny red container labeled 'decontaminant' is sitting on the counter that the player can simply knock over*
Erkal:
a. We need them to create our breeder mutants.
b. I am simply a product of my circumstances.
c. Pass- Very well, she is safe for now. You don't prove useful and I might change my mind.
c. Fail- Ha, I can just as easily force you to give me what I need.
d. What? I can't have another harvest get contaminated, Gammorin would kill me! *Player reaches over to the computer while Erkal checks the device. Decontaminant gas gets shot out of the vents*
e. You clumsy fool!
d and e. Everyone clear the room! Take the slaves back to their cages, we will resume tommorow after I clean up this mess.
In the cloud of smoke Vault-Girl runs over to Kaylee and releases her from the table she was strapped to.

Kaylee: Oh my god, you saved me! They were... they were about to... *Kaylee starts crying*
Soldier: Get a move on.
Soldier" Up the stairs, keep moving.
The super mutants take the slaves up the stairs to a small cell with a window overlooking the gate. The door slams and locks. Kaylee and Vault Girl are in the cell alone, Vault Girl looks around for a way out to no avail. After a bit of time the deep, dark voice of a super mutant shots out from below on the gate.
Kaylee: It looks like that super mutant is giving a speech, is that Gammorin? If only I had my gun!
Player: Settle down Lee Harvey Oswald...
Kaylee: Huh?

Kaylee: I... I din't expect it to be like this. Duke was right, I'm not strong enough.
Player:
a. (You did good) Don't be so hard on yourself, you did fine. Just focus on what's next.
b. (I need you) You can't go giving up on us now, I still need you to complete this mission.
c. (Lesson learned) Well, hopefully you learned your lesson.
Kaylee:
a and b. I'll do my best... thanks for having faith in me. It... it's just I've never been that scared before... I ... I don't want to be alone right now, will you stay next to me?
c. I guess I did...
Player:
a. (Yes)
b. (Stand watch) Someone has to stand watch for when The Slam gets here.
c. (I need some space)
Kaylee:
a. Thank you...
b and c. Oh... ok.

A door opens from down the hall and the two jump up.
X 4.2 -Writing- -Voice Acting- -Creation Kit-
Kaylee: Is it Foot Smash? Oh no, that's not him!
The super mutant from before, now with a patch over his eye, walks down the hall with one of his buddies and unlocks the cell door.
Creeper: I'm going to make you pay for what you did to my eye you little bitch. You are going to wish you were never born. Go take care of her little boyfriend/girlfriend, this little lady is all mine.
Kaylee: No, no! Get away from me.
*The other super mutant walks into the cell and attacks the player while the Creeper takes Kaylee out of the cell*
Creeper: I'm going to enjoy listening to your screams. This will not be quick and this will not be painless.
Kaylee: Help!
*After the player defeats the super mutant with his/her own fists*
The Eye: What arrogance has lead you to believe that Gammorin's property is something that you can take for your own amusement? The great king has offered you purpose and you repay him with this insolence? Join the dead, for the living will not miss you.
*The Eye stabs the Creeper right between the 4th and 5th ribs and the Creeper slumps to the ground and dies*
The Eye: Return this unevolved creature to her cell, and then clean up this mess.
Soldier: Yes sir, right away!
The Eye: Let this be a lesson to you lesser mutants, don't take Gammorin's kindness to you for granted. Know who is in charge here or return to the Institute that made you.
*The Eye walks off leaving the soldier with Kaylee. The soldier moves closer and he turns out to be Foot Smash*
Foot Smash: Sorry for the wait, humans! I couldn't make it without raising suspicion.
*Foot Smash opens the cell door letting the player out*
Foot Smash: Ok, let's go. I have Human Hazmat Suits. The Glowing Sea is not kind to you human types.
Player:
a. (Get to the defenses) We need to go take those defenses down.
b. (Save Zoe) We need to go rescue Zoe first.
c. (Get out of here) We need to get out of here as soon as possible, what is the quickest way?
Foot Smash:
a. Ok, I will show you the way.
b. Yes, you are right.
c. We go through the control room. I saw it earlier. We have to go there anyway to shut down the defenses!
Kaylee: I need a moment to catch my breath... You two go on ahead, I will catch up with you.

Vault-Girl and The Slam headed off down the hall past several cages filled with slaves and super mutants. As they got closer to the stairwell at the end of the corridor a particularly nasty looking super mutant yelled out at Vault-Girl. His yellow skin seemed to still be morphing to his new form, surely this mutant was fresh out of the FEV.
X 5.1 -Writing- -Voice Acting- -Creation Kit-
Mutant: I... I remember you! How did you get out?
Player:
a. (No time) I don't have time to talk
b. (Who are you)
c. (Perception) Ingle, is that you?
Mutant:
a. Wait! I uhhh... I can't remember...
b. They... they uhhh, called me Ingle... In the life before... I think...
c. You remember!
Player:
a. (What happened) What happened to you?
b. (Release him) I'm going to get you out of here.
c. (Mercy kill) I'm going to put you out of your misery.
Ingle:
a. They threw me in the goo, the burn! It made my head go funny, now me is big and yellow... It hurts!
b. No! There is no place for me out there anymore. Not now that me is yellow...
c. Thank... you...
*Player can now either leave or shoot Ingle with the gun the Foot Smash gave him/her*
Foot Smash continues on down the stairs with Vault-Girl close behind.
Foot Smash: Me Saw Zoe on this floor earlier! We Can break her out!

Player:
a. (Of course)
b. (No time) We don't have time.
c. (Slow us down) She is just going to slow us down.
The Slam:
a. Yes!
b and c. Ohhh...
*The player and Foot Smash go into a room and kill the two guards, take the key, and open Zoe's cage*
Foot Smash: Is Zoe, okay?! Abe will be happy you still alive!
Zoe: Thank god you saved me! These super mutants here are monsters, nothing like Braintree!
Foot Smash: Here, put on this hazmat suit. No time to explain, must get to the control room!
The three head as quickly and quietly as possible back out the door and to the control room.

Foot Smash: Me found control room earlier, but don't know how to work all the shiny buttons. I thought about making them go smash with my foot, but I thought you might not like that. Where is the human girl?
Player:
a. (I've got this)
b. (Way out) I assume you have us a way out of here.
c. (Kaylee) She will be here in a minute.
Foot Smash:
a. Tinker, tinker, tinker. Humans are useful with their little hands.
b. I have a door unlocked just down that hallway.
c. I hope she is ok, she is a nice human, I like her.
*The player goes to work shutting down the EMP pulses, turrets, and the AA guns from various terminals found around the control center. If you accepted the poison from Sledge, you now have the opportunity to place it in the water supply. As you finish sabotaging the defenses, an alarm sounds and flashing red lights illuminate the room.*
X 5.4 -Writing- -Voice Acting- -Creation Kit-
Foot Smash: The alarms, we have to get out, now! The door is this way.
The two humans in their hazmat suits ran out of the room followed by the super mutant. As they approached the door they were headed off by at least 10 fully armed super mutants. On the other side, yet another 10 super mutants closed in on them, blocking any path of escape.
Foot Smash: There is no way we can fight them all!
Zoe: I don't want to die!
Soldier: Good job soldiers! How did you know these slaves were trying to escape before the alarms even sounded?
The Eye: You oblivious fool, those mutants are from the outside. They thought they could come into our home and steal from us, not realizing they are far out of their league. Barbarians, that is all they are, that is all any of you are without the mercy of the Grand Master Gammorin.
Foot Smash: Wait, we surr...!
*Before he could even form the words, The Eye shoots Foot Smash in the face, killing him in a single shot*
Zoe: Noooo! Foot Smash!
The Eye: You have no right to speak to me, maggot. Join the dead, maybe they will want to listen.
Right when things looked totally hopeless for the Vault-Girl and her remaining companion, a large green explosion erupted tearing through the wall and revealing the Glowing Sea outside. Several mutants got caught in the blast and now lay on the ground dead. The silhouette of a human form dressed in a hazmat suit emerged from the smoke.
Kaylee: Hey, guys, I found an exit. Someone just left a big hole right in the middle of this wall... Don't just stand there, run!
*Everyone makes a run for it with over a dozen super mutants running after them shooting. The temporary hazmat suits only provide minimal rad resistance, so the player still takes low levels of radiation and must hurry to someplace safe*
Kaylee: I've got you Zoe, were not going to leave you behind.
Zoe: You saved us!
Broken, battered, and torn, the group finally makes it out of the glowing sea and returns to Braintree.
