This is all just notes and brainstorming...
- After the Calculator's hardware is destroyed, the software for the Calculator's program is still available in 35 holotapes. However, no computer in the wasteland is powerful enough to read it.
- After Dagger Squad is destroyed by Gammorin outside of Boston, the Reaver Movement recovers these holotapes.
- Dee Dee, the head of engineering at the Reaver Church in Boston hatches a secret plan to rebuild and control the power of the Calculator, but will need a powerful enough computer to make it happen. The only place to go for this is the Institute.
- Somehow Dee Dee gets the attention of one of the Institute Scientists and forms an alliance with him to get the computer parts sent to the surface using Coursers to do the job, in particularly L3-0N.
- Dee Dee never directly interacts with the Institute, and the secret Institute Scientist never goes to the surface.
- Mac, Circuit, and Dos are the 3 Reaver Missionaries that have unlimited access to the Commonwealth without anyone questioning it. Dee Dee uses them to recover her 'packages'.
- While heading to retrieve a drop made by L3-0N, Mac runs into trouble and the Courser ends up saving her life. Long story short, Mac falls in love with L3-0N, who she refers to as Leon.
- Leon secretly brings Mac to the Institute several times, and she loves it there. Eventually, however, Leon is caught and labeled a trader of the Institute. They will 'recycle' him for parts unless Mac can make retribution toward the Institute by bringing them the absolutely priceless Calculator software.
- Knowing that Dee Dee's double agent inside the Institute would report this to Dee Dee, Mac is now afraid that she is going to be killed by the Reavers.
- Mac manipulates Circuit to work with the Mechanist in order to rise up against Gammorin and cause mass trouble for Dee Dee as a means to distract her.
- As Dee Dee is distracted, Mac's plan was to steal the New Calculator tapes and take them to the Institute. This never happens because Dee Dee kills Circuit.
- The electromagnetic pulse rifle Dee Dee used to assassinate Circuit was tampered with by Mac, and the pulse also messed up some of Dee Dee's electronics and she ends up in a coma as a result.
- If the player has already destroyed the Institute, Mac will be devastated and decide to sell the tapes to the Brotherhood of Steel in exchange for passage to the Capital Wasteland where she can start a new life.
